These will be working from our hubs; Nuffield, Orchard, Comberton, Cornford House, Clay Farm Trumpington, Over, Huntingdon Road and Milton.

Shifts are weekdays 1830hrs to 2200hrs and weekends 0900-1700hrs.

CGPN Administrator
Hours of Work: 37.5hrs per week  (part time will be considered)
£21,255 p
er annum (pro-rata if part time)

Cambs GP Network, Stirling Hours, Waterbeach.

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Administrator to join our Operations Team based at our Head Office within the Cambridge Innovation Park at Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire, providing support to both the Operations Team & the Federations primary care services, this is an exciting role within the primary care setting, candidates with GP practice / primary care experience are desirable but we will consider transferable skills.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (exceptions Order) 1975 and as such a submission for Disclosure is required to the Disclosure and Barring Service (previously known as CRB), to check any previous criminal convictions.

Location: CGPN Head Office, Waterbeach

 

Main Duties of the Role

  • Providing daily Operations support to the Operations Team & staff delivering services.

  • Providing administration support to the CGPN CEO & Board of Directors as required.

  • Patient data entry allocation & collation; processing and recording information in accordance with CGPN procedures

  • Offer general clerical assistance to CGPN in all aspects of service delivery and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other service users, either in person or via the telephone

  • To function as the ‘virutal’ receptionist for CGPN services, liaising with practices & patients as required, working with SystmOne, & EMIS patient software

  • Undertake a variety of duties to assist in the smooth running of services.

  • Facilitate effective communication between patients, members primary health care teams, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies

  • HR administration as directed by the Operations Manager, this may include financial administration

  • Assist the Operations Manager with finding shift cover at short notice should the need arise

  • Add Appointment schedules to SystmOne to coordinate with Rotamaster shifts

  • Ensure that appointments booked are efficient and accurate

  • Process the patient end of care procedure, including patient referral letters to patient’s own surgery

  • Always observe patient confidentiality

  • Be familiar and comply with all Health and Safety rules and guidance policies

  • Ensuring CGPN equipment stocks are available. Report any supply /maintenance issues to the Operational Manager

  • Ensure computer/written records are accurately maintained and securely stored

  • To ensure your workstation is left at the end of your shift in an orderly manner and with patient confidentiality in mind

  • Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the service

  • Undergo training as may be required to develop your skills and abilities

  • Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR

  • Act in accordance with the CGPN rules and code of conduct

Cherry Hinton Medical Centre
Patient Administrator
Hours of Work: Full & Part Time roles available
Working Days: Monday - Thursday

£11.42 per hour

Cherry Hinton Medical Centre / Brookfields Health Centre, Cambridge.

We are seeking a Patient Administrator to support the practice clinical team by signposting patients to the appropriate healthcare professional or service, working as part of the practice’s multidisciplinary team.

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties and the provision of general support to the surgery team. Duties can include but are not limited to, greeting patients and signposting, booking appointments, processing of information and assisting patients as required. This will include a mix of patient facing and clerical duties.

To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the surgery team, liaising with outside organisations such as secondary care and community providers.

Main Duties of the Role

  • To function as the Patient Administrator for Cherry Hinton Medical Practice, liaising with clinical staff & patients as required, working with the GP Clinical System Emis Web (The practice will be migrating to the SysmOne Clinical System as of February 2024)

  • Monitoring the practice appointment system

  • Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately

  • Providing a ‘front of house’ first point of contact for patients within the reception area

  • Processing repeat prescription requests

  • Processing Accurx Online Triage bookings

  • Enter and read/SNOMED CT code data taken from clinical letters

  • Patient data entry allocation & collation; processing and recording information in accordance with CGPN procedures

  • Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required

  • Offer general clerical assistance to Cherry Hinton Medical Practice in all aspects of practice delivery and project a positive and friendly image to patients and colleagues, either in person or via the telephone

  • Supporting Secretarial cover as required

  • Support other members of staff, providing cover during staff absences

  • Scan patient-related documentation and attach scanned documents to patients’ healthcare records

  • Action incoming emails when necessary

  • Always observe patient confidentiality

  • Be familiar and comply with all Health and Safety rules and guidance policies

  • Ensure computer/written records are accurately maintained and securely stored

  • Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the surgery

  • Undergo mandatory training as may be required to develop your skills and abilities

Maple Surgery
Lead Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Primary Care nurse with a strong understanding of quality assurance.

The post holder is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe and effective nursing care to the practice population.

As the lead, the post holder is accountable for nursing service delivery in the practice and for overseeing and supporting 1 x Health Care Assistant & Locum Nurses.

The post holder will provide leadership and supervision to the team members and will be the infection prevention and control lead for the practice.

 

The postholder will actively engage in practice / patient engagement

Main Duties of the Role

  • Lead and manage the nursing resource, working closely with the practice management and GPs to deliver the practice priorities.

  • Clinically, the focus of the role is the delivery of evidence-based practice for patients with long-term conditions and management, and preventative nursing interventions to all patients.

  • Ensure the practice and its staff are compliant with infection prevention and control policies and procedures

  • Assure clinical safety and drive excellent patient outcomes

  • Support the practice manager and clinical lead in service delivery

  • Work collaboratively with the whole practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing leadership and direction for the nursing team.

  • Conduct all duties in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct and the various local and national policies, guidelines and protocols.

We are Cambs GP Network - a Federation of Practices across Cambridge and surrounding villages, with a social enterprise ethos - wholly owned by our local member practices. We have taken over Maple Surgery in Bar Hill this year.

Maple Surgery has 3,700 patients - cared for by a supportive, stable team and practice manager. The clinical team includes a Lead Nurse, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and an HCA as well as a Social Prescriber and a Pharmacy Technician as part of Cambridge North Villages PCN.  We have an excellent clinical coder and ANP support with tasks and medications to reduce GP workload. The practice is located immediately off the westbound A14 just outside Cambridge.

This is a traditional small practice based in a village, that has the support of a bigger network. We ensure safe staffing, no duty sessions so you can focus on patients not fire-fighting, capped workloads, career mentoring and development.

 

Main Duties

  • 13 patients per session, working alongside an ANP and a supportive team

  • This is a low visiting practice, 2 max per week (often none), no care homes

  • Monthly clinical closure afternoon for training and team building

  • SystmOne practice with full Arden’s templates

  • Time allocated for shared administrative and prescription tasks
