These will be working from our hubs; Nuffield, Orchard, Comberton, Cornford House, Clay Farm Trumpington, Over, Huntingdon Road and Milton.

Shifts are weekdays 1830hrs to 2200hrs and weekends 0900-1700hrs.

CGPN Lead Nurse
Hours of Work: 22.5 to 30 hours per week available Monday-Friday
£32,031.97 - £42,709.29 Depending on hours (22.5 to 30 hrs per week)

The Lead Nurse is an exciting and developing role within CGPN, the role is a key member of the CGPN Management Team supporting the development and delivery of CGPN’s clinical services and initiatives within Cambridgeshire.
​
This includes support to our two GP practices in addition to our Community and Extended Access Services.
​
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Nurse with management experience and a strong understanding of quality assurance. Ideally you will have worked in an advanced role and will have experience in managing within a clinical setting.
​
You will provide leadership and supervision to the CGPN Lead Nurses who work within our practices as well as to our Practice Nurses, Health Care Assistants (HCAs) & Phlebotomists who work within the CGPN Primary Care Hub.

This is an exciting and varied role that requires:

Clinical oversight of Nurse led services

Clinical input assessing new service opportunities

Assuring clinical safety and driving excellent patient outcomes

Supervising, mentoring and auditing CGPN Nurses, HCAs & Phlebotomists

Quality assuring policies, protocols and practice

Patient facing work where services require additional capacity

Working alongside the CGPN GP Medical Director and Clinical Governance Board in the oversight, management and development of nursing provision

We are Cambs GP Network - a Federation of Practices across Cambridge and surrounding villages, with a social enterprise ethos - wholly owned by our local member practices.

Cherry Hinton & Brookfields Medical Centre has a main practice and hub location with 9,528 patients - cared for by a supportive team. The clinical team includes a Team of GPs, GP Lead, Lead Nurse, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and HCAs as well as a Pharmacist, in addition we have Social Prescribers and a Pharmacy Team as part of Cambridge City Four PCN.

The practice also has an Assistant Practice Manager, Medical Secretary Lead and Patient Administrator lead, all supporting the managed structure of the practice.
​
The finance / payroll and HR elements of the role are all manged centrally by the CGPN Head Office to allow you as the Practice Manager the space to focus on the day to day management and development of the practice.
​
