If this appeals, read on….

Welcome to Maple Surgery.

Welcome to CGPN.

We are Cambs GP Network - a Federation of Practices across Cambridge and surrounding villages, with a social enterprise ethos - wholly owned by our local member practices. Since taking over Maple Surgery in Bar Hill last year our patient feedback has improved which shows in our Friends and Family responses, we have rebuilt good relationships with the supportive Patient Participation group and we also significantly improved on our QOF achievements for the 2023/24 year.

Maple Surgery has 4,000 patients - cared for by a supportive, stable team and practice manager. The clinical team includes a Lead Nurse, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and an HCA as well as a Social Prescriber, Pharmacy Team and a Community Matron as part of Cambridge North Villages PCN.  We have an excellent clinical coder and ANP support with tasks and medications. The practice is located immediately off the westbound A14 just outside Cambridge.

This is a traditional practice supporting old-fashioned face-to-face high-quality consulting, that has the support of a bigger network in the form of CGPN so you can focus on patients, not firefighting and be sure of transparent and stable running of the practice.

Main Duties

The Practice Manager will focus on the day-to-day operability of the practice championing Quality, Continuous Improvement, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Confidentiality, Collaborative Working, Service Delivery, Learning and Development and promoting a positive working environment.

Management of Human Resources:

Ensure that the practice is staffed and resourced within budget by people with
appropriate skills, experience, and commitment to provide the professional, technical, administrative, and inter-personal expertise needed.

Policy and Planning:

Regularly review the organization and developments within and outside the practice which will impact directly or indirectly.

Management of Information Technology Systems:

Ensure the effective management of information within the practice and with outside
agencies.

Management of Operational Systems:

Ensure the effective and efficient working systems and operational systems within the practice.

Management of Premises, Equipment and Stock:

Advise the practice in making full and effective use of its current premises, equipment
and stock.

Patient Services:

Develop services which best serve the needs of the practice's patient population.
